While creating this piece, it suddenly reminded me of the crystallization trays of my previous work as a research scientist, setting up hundreds or perhaps even thousands of crystallization trays to grow the perfect protein crystal to then shoot it with x-rays, record the diffraction pattern and finally solve the protein structure at atomic resolution.
